Feature Friday: Just Be. Invitation Design Studio!

SO EXCITED to have some questions answered today by the fabulous Bailey Viola of Just Be. She is not only extremely talented but really fun to work with too! For anyone planning their wedding and has yet to get to this stage of the game, make sure to contact bailey, she can make your life easier and the invitation process fun! She has hundreds of samples to get ideas from, and I loved looking through all of them for our photo-shoot!  Head over to her facebook page and show her some love!

1.  When is a good time to start the wedding invitation process?

I would recommend meeting with your stationaire about 2 months before you would like your invitations sent out. The average send date is between 6-8 weeks before the big day! Six is normal but if you are getting married on a holiday weekend or you have a lot of out of town guests, I usually recommend 8 weeks prior. Two months prior to send date allows your stationaire to design you something that matches your wedding style & personality, have plenty of time for edits and time to print, assemble & add any extra special details!

2.  What services do you offer?

Just Be. is a design studio, so we are not limited to just wedding invitations! Some additional items that we can create & supply are: save the dates, wedding programs, escort cards or seating displays, menu cards, unique table numbers, photo booth signs, custom card boxes, thank you cards, decor rentals, party invitations and tons of other fun signs, banners & details! We also do showers, parties & special events, so remember us after the big day is over and it’s time for other big life events!

3.  Do you handle the envelope addressing?

Yes, we do! This is a very special service that we offer that is hard to find elsewhere. For a per envelope cost, you supply Just Be. with your guests addresses in a Word or Pages document and we use the same colors & fonts from your invitations and print the digital calligraphy right onto your envelope! Why spend the money on beautiful invitations then slap a “clear” label onto the front? Complete the look with custom addressing so your invitation arrives in style!

4. What is the advantage of working with a designer?

The best part about working with a design studio vs. an online website is that you can customize every aspect of your invitation. Have you started the process by looking online to try to find an invitation you may like but it didn’t come in the color you wanted or with a font you liked? Well with custom invitations, that doesn’t happen! I supply you with several options of custom text layouts, hundreds of color options and every font imaginable! My goal is for you to be 100% happy with the end result and we won’t stop designing until you are!

5. Is there anything a couple should bring to the first meeting?

A lot of couples come to me clueless about what they want and thats perfectly fine for the first consultation! I will show them tons of ideas, samples & colors swatches and we will build their collection from that! If they have an idea of what they want they should bring examples of invitations they like, pictures of their centerpieces and/or venue and the colors they are using for their details. Any little clues into what they would like their big day to be are always helpful!

6. Tell us more about what makes you so unique!

With Just Be. you will not picking something out of a book or on a website. It is truly a hands-on experience where you get to create something perfectly unique for your big day. In my opinion, the first consultation meeting is the most fun, and never usually ends up feeling like a real “meeting”. I really like to get to know my clients so that I can really make them something custom that fits their style & personalities like it should. Its important to remember that you invitation is you guests first real clue into what your wedding will be like! So make sure you invitations portray exactly what you want your guests to feel!
